This was the view from the hostel....
and this one is just one of the beautiful sunsets I witnessed. It was fortunate that the hostel was located on top of a hill so that it bypassed most of the ugliness of the town and I got to see so much of the sky!
These were the stairs I climbed twice a day! They don't look so bad in the photo as they were in real life!
At the bottom of the stairs was Place des Cocotiers, where there were often events taking place. One night I went to a concert there.
